What is Live Edge Wood?

Live edge wood slabs begin as large logs from trees previously removed for past customers. The logs are cut in a manner that preserves the natural edges of the tree. This style of wood highlights the natural beauty of the lumber and makes truly stunning wood pieces to be used as shelves, mantles, countertops, and many other furniture options.

E&E Tree Services does not source wood through logging practices. We only mill live edge wood slabs from trees our team has already removed for a customer in the past. Our tree care professionals do their best to avoid removing any healthy tree, but there are certain circumstances when it is unavoidable. We began milling live edge wood slabs as a way to preserve the life, beauty, and memory of the trees we remove. With the customer's permission, we take logs from trees we remove back to our headquarters to be milled into beautiful live edge wood slabs, bringing new life into the trees that would otherwise end up at the dump.

Live edge wood slabs are available for purchase in a variety of ways to meet your unique needs. You can either purchase your slab completely planed, sanded, and sealed or rough cut, if you prefer to finish it yourself. Simply fill out the contact form below and a member of our team will contact you with information on live edge wood slabs currently available for purchase or to discuss custom order requests. Our team will also be able to provide you with proper measurements, photos, and a no-obligation price quote. Of course, customers are always welcome to come by our location to view our live edge wood slabs in person! We currently only offer local pickup and delivery (at an additional fee). We hope to be able to offer shipping within the United States in a few weeks.
